The moves to close the play store ecosystem are a boone to every public apk repository and a huge hit to any developer relying on google services framework(gsf). Why? Disable play store signing and gsf wont work; disable them BOTH and you have freedom to install anything you want again. I would say 80% of apps out now will still work without gsf.
