Myst is a very old game where you walk by tapping a series of pre-rendered 3d images. This is back when each image would take minutes to hours to render (like Pixar did with Toy Story 1), so graphically it looks amazing for its time, but it actually existed at the same time when Super Nintendo was popular (1990s)
The first game was unimaginably popular after its release in 1993. It quickly became the best-selling computer game of all time, and stayed there for nine years until The Sims unseated it in 2002. It's still the 25th highest-selling computer game ever[0]. Kids these days!
