While the article has comparison across many features, is it blurring the lines between a metastore and enterprise catalogs which are much different products?
I've found Glue works well within the AWS ecosystem, but definitely makes sense to use others when working with other engines. I'll have to try out some of the data lineage and quality features that were mentioned - I've mostly only used the plain metastore functionality in these
