The problem is that facebook is giving people earplugs. Biases and minority opinions get clustered together in huge echo chambers by eliminating mean societal influence.
This has assisted valid and invalid minority opinions to be heard.
What wasn’t there was critical thinking on behalf of the people who were already overwhelmingly exposed to mass political marketing and had developed a pseudo Asperger response. I will agree for once with the facebook exec, political philosophy has pretty much come to the conclusion that since there is not a unique definition of good or bad, there is not an algorithm that can do it.
