There is another component to the protocol,

> Only messages matching your Secret Key will ring.

I assume that's the "Secret Key" is placed in this prefix tag, '[SECRET::]' ?

Since plain-text over UDP is not very secret, I'm now motivated to look into how Wireguard is able to use PKI to only accept packets from a trusted clients. And, how that protocol could be used to generate the Secrey Key.

Dont forget RAM.

and pf.

Uhh... no idea but yea. Its that much better that it deserves a poem.

In theory.. but what happens when you want to change ISPs or your ISP doesnt assign static ipv6 blocks? Its recomnended but ISPs have no incentive to give a shit about you. Now all internal infra is not routable.

An IPv6 allocation being static or dynamic has no bearing on its routability.

I'd really like one that has 2x M.2 slots. I'm very uncomfortable running a server on a single disk.

Also, ECC ram would be nice.

2x m.2 is usually reserved for more expensive (>$200) mini pc. Or nas based mini pc which have trade offs.

Ecc ram is rare because very few people are asking for it, and it costs extra

If you don't need speed, you can bifurcate one 4-lane M.2 into 4x 1-lane M.2 slots.

One of the features I really like about the BEAM is that it solves the problem of organizing the topology of the applications I build. It's unlikely you're even close to doing this in other languages / frameworks.

The supervisor tree is one of the killer-app features of BEAM. I hit the benefits of this ALL the time. I notice how it keeps getting solved over and over again in unique ways that are half-baked. In some ways, this quote is what I'm hinting at, except, things don't even have to be concurrent. That's just a cherry-on-top.

"Virding's First Rule of Programming: Any sufficiently complicated concurrent program in another language contains an ad hoc informally-specified bug-ridden slow implementation of half of Erlang."

I'd also argue that "sufficiently complicated" bar isn't very high.

There are matured ways to do multi-service outside of BEAM. I get that it's extra work vs something built in, but this is only an issue at large scale, and you'd probably need to set that up anyway unless every service is Erlang/Elixir.

I am completely the opposite. I could care less about whats in that packet of data. But, I deeply care about how I move it from A to B and if gets there according to specifications.

Another ad for have i been owned? ... How much does it cost to advertise on hackernews?

That's insanely high. I'm surprised 74% of CEOs can even admit that their job is at risk. I've been made to believe these people are suppose to be narcissistic.

I kept reading and quickly realized this entire report reads like a bunch of bull,

"94% of CEOs believe AI agents could provide equal or better counsel than human board members."

Board members hold CEOs accountable. How is an AI agent going to do that? "hey chatgpt, can I have a raise this year?"

Since when have CEOs been held accountable? When they get let go they get a huge payout and jump to the next place through social connections.

> Board members hold CEOs accountable. How is an AI agent going to do that?

The lack of oversight is a feature, not a bug, in this case.
