Some juniors are even using AI for communication in Slack channels or even DMs. It's so uncanny.

I'm staff and that is probably the main thing I use AI for. It's maybe a bit ironic that AI is a lot better at sounding like an empathetic human being than I am, but I'm still better at writing code.

What do you do if the manager enables it?

It's basically a scheme letting less scrupulous people offload work on others while at the same time making good impressions to manager, PMs and CEOs who want to automate our job and fire us.

PMs, POs and CEOs should have been the first jobs to automate in our industry. Nothing of what the vast majority of them do is based on evidence and verifiable facts, it's already all vibes anyway.

It's so easy to demand a name and shame when you won't be the one facing potential social and economic consequences of doing so.

>Inflation expectations were strong and justified. Government deficits were out of control. And the population was truly ready to bear some pain for the sake of reform

We went from 25% inlation where prices changed every single week to discussing whether the government will be able to lower inlation from a monthly 2% (still high, o course). The goal post was moved but I'm just glad not to have prices change every week, it was complete madness. And the 2% is the average, of course, you can find some prices the same as they were 2 months ago.

Would love to hear more from Argentinians! Thank you for your perspective.

Every time I see someone asking where to meet people to date and then another person mentions gym you get a tons of comments bashing them about how the gym is NOT a place to find a date/gf/bf and you should absolutely not bother anyone. I mean, I understand the point, but the same is said sometimes about universities, random extracurricular classes, etc. so... where is people allowed to meet? Then we all scratch our heads wondering about the loneliness/depression epidemic and the atomization of society.

Never had a really good trip on mushrooms, I really envy all those that can enjoy them. I always end up digging up the worst traumas and feeling no reason to live.

I'd seek therapy to resolve that, maybe psychedelic integration therapy if the re-traumatization is an issue you've faced after having these experiences. I've been sending people to a clinic which has this as a focus - they definitely don't administer psychedelics but they do a pretty good at helping people who have gone through such difficult experiences. You can find practitioners who can help in your area through this site [1]

I've stopped trying to use the quotes operator because it clearly started ignoring it many years ago. It's very frustrating.

You have to do 2-3 clicks to select “verbatim.” And there’s no way to set this as a preference or setting.

It’s weird. I suspect it’s more expensive to search this way or something because it’s such a basic feature that they haven’t done for a decade.

There is a way to have Verbatim the default, at least by changing the default search engine settings in the browser. Ctrl-k in my Chrome uses a verbatim search (can't remember exactly how I set it up).

It also has the typical annoying dialog open 2 secs after opening the page.

When you have to add so many rules and regulations you know it's not going to work. You can't force human interaction, is something that naturally happens (through common interests, goals and ideologies, spending lot of time together, etc.) or it doesn't.
